Threshold House

2026
ResidentialSpatial DesignThesis
Overview

Threshold House investigates the moment of arrival as architectural experience. The project compresses and releases space across a sequence of thresholds — from street to garden, from garden to entry, from entry to interior — each transition calibrated to shift the inhabitant's perception of scale, light, and material.

Process

The design began with a series of sectional studies exploring the relationship between ceiling height and emotional register. Models were built at 1:50 and 1:20 to test the compression of the entry sequence. Material palette — raw concrete, weathered steel, and oiled oak — was selected to age deliberately over time.

Grid Manifesto

2026
TypographySystemsEditorial
Overview

Grid Manifesto is a typographic design system that treats the grid not as a neutral organizing tool but as an expressive instrument. The system uses deliberate misalignment, weight contrast, and spatial tension to communicate hierarchy and urgency.

Process

The project began with an analysis of Swiss International Style grids and their subversion in punk and post-punk graphic design. A modular grid was developed with intentional breakpoints — zones where the system is allowed to fracture. The final output includes a specimen book, poster series, and digital type specimen.

Void / Mass

2025
Public SpacePavilionStructural
Overview

Void / Mass is a public pavilion proposal that treats absence as a primary material. The structure is defined as much by what is removed as by what remains — carved volumes create sheltered spaces for gathering, while exposed structural members frame views of the surrounding landscape.

Process

The design process involved extensive physical model-making, testing the relationship between structural necessity and spatial experience. Foam models were carved to explore void-making, then translated into structural diagrams. The final proposal uses cast concrete panels with CNC-milled voids.

Signal Series

2025
IdentityMusicBranding
Overview

Signal Series is a complete visual identity for an experimental music collective based in New York. The system is built around the concept of signal interference — visual noise, frequency, and transmission — translated into a graphic language of distorted grids, layered type, and high-contrast monochrome.

Process

Research began with the collective's sonic references — industrial, noise, and post-punk. The identity system was developed through a series of visual experiments with photocopier distortion, oscilloscope imagery, and broadcast interference patterns. The final system includes logo, poster templates, merchandise, and digital assets.
